Gert is sprawled on a sofa reading one of those really trashy vampire novels that teen girls seem to be going crazy for at the moment* and resisting the urge to throw it against the wall or burn the damn thing.

Gert and Old Lace are taking a walk around the lake. Or rather, Gert is walking around the lake, OL is taking off after the demon bunnies that roam the grounds of Milliways.

OL seems to be enjoying herself, but Gert is wondering how this weather - an overcast sky, intermittent showers and quite a fair wind - can be considered summer.

A girl and her Deinonychus are in the bar, at a table. Gert has sushi and saki, Old lace has a bucket of raw steak. Company is welcomed.

It's still slightly chilly outside but sun is shining and OL is suffering slightly from cabin fever so she and Gert have gone for a walk around the lake. Gert and Old Lace are eating dinner at a table - well, Gert is at the table, OL is eating raw liver from a bucket on the floor. Gert herself is eating miso ramen  and sipping green tea.

Gert is curled up on a sofa by the fire, eating popcorn and drinking hot chocolate. Old Lace is at her feet and every so often Gert throws a piece of popcorn at the large dinosaur who catches it in her mouth. Seriously, having Old Lace is just like having a very ;large and scaly puppy.

Gert Yorkes is sat by the fire strumming a guitar she borrowed from the bar.
